Sishyakulam's EPIC Choirs
The EPIC Choir, Ensembles for the Propagation of Indian Culture, is Sishyakulam’s reimagining of the performance dimension of Indian music. Inspired by Western choral traditions and rooted in the grammar of Indian classical music, EPIC brings the choir format into an Indian concert context in a way that is structured, expansive, familiar, and entirely new.
To date, Sishyakulam has featured over 5,000 students through the EPIC Choir, bringing together a global community of learners committed to carrying Indian musical culture forward in a contemporary, accessible, and globally resonant form.

The Arangetram | रङ्गप्रवेशम् | அரங்கேற்றம்
An Arangetram is the debut stage performance of a student of Indian classical dance or music, marking the moment they step from dedicated learning into artistic readiness. Rooted in Sanskrit and Thamizh, the term combines Araṅga (stage) and Etram (ascent), literally meaning “ascending the stage.”
Yet, an Arangetram is far more than a first performance. At its heart lies the Guru–Śiṣya Paramparā, the timeless teacher–student tradition that sustains India’s classical heritage.
